We interviewed Martti Siniharju from Naava. Naava is a nature-inspired technology company from the Nordics. 1) Your company was selected out of 240+ applications. What has the Emaar Innovation Challenge meant for your company?
It was a great honour to be selected to the Final out of so many good applicants. The Innovation Challenge provided us a brilliant opportunity to showcase our solution and story to the biggest and greatest property company in the region. We gained loads of insights and learnings and this was hopefully a true kick-start for a fruitful future collaboration with Emaar in the UAE.
2) How were the overall days for you in Dubai (networking, meeting at Emaar, fun part with Burj Khalifa visit and boat trip)?
The program created for us was just great! It was amazing to get to know and network with other innovative companies and inspiring entrepreneurs from around the world!
3) How important was the pitch training given by Corrinke Boon (online and in Dubai)?
The pitch trainings before the event and at the site were very valuable and helped me to take my pitch to a next level. Thank you Corrinke!
4) And of course, how was the Demo Day?
The Sustainability Pavilion was an impressive venue for the Demo Day. Having the Group CEO present and a senior team in the jury, really showed that Emaar is seriously looking for innovations and companies to work with. In addition to pitch stage time, offering a table/booth for each company to demo their solution during breaks and after the event could have been a nice addition to showcase and concretize the solutions for the audience and jury.

Naava brings the power of Nature indoors. We combine nature with technology and scandinavian design for innovative easy-care solutions. Our smart living green wall products enable property owners and companies to make their offices healthier and happier.
