The solution: Carbon Limit’s concrete technology CaptureCrete is a carbon dioxide removal (CDR) technology for concrete that captures and mineralizes CO2 from the atmosphere, storing it for over 1000 years. It improves concrete's strength, durability, and self-healing properties while reducing its carbon footprint by up to 27% compared to traditional concrete. This is achieved through a mix of Direct Air Capture, Carbon Mineralization, and a unique formula of low-impact materials and metal oxide catalysts. Testing shows that each ton of CaptureCrete concrete can capture up to 0.1 tons of CO2.
